The Mesa Grande Western Railroad is a private 9" gauge railway located near Pearblossom, CA. It is the only operating 9" gauge railway in the United States. The scale is 3" or 1/4 full size, modeling 36" gauge prototype. The railway was founded by Harry Pulaski in the 1950s, and moved to its current location circa 1963. The Bobcat fire in 2020 burned all of the bridges and trestles on the railroad, and they are currently being rebuilt.
