Locomotive Saddle Tank

I designed this saddle tank to fit on our MEG Steam "Wendy" 0-4-0 locomotive, replacing two side tanks.   It is patterned after a larger tank built by Jack Bodenmann for his #9 locomotive, and this tank was built by Jack as well as we did not have the sheet metal expertise in house at the time.   The tank has brass sides in two pieces (inner and outer) with copper ends hammered over a composite wood former in the traditional manner.   The entire thing is riveted and then soft-soldered at the joints to seal it.
