I designed this short locomotive cab for our MEG Steam "Wendy", based on a small Baldwin cab. Construction of the cab was performed by my father who is a master woodworker. It is made primarily out of oak with a rolled steel roof and features mostly metal-free fastenings throughout. I am a fan of natural wood finishes for cabs. It has held up well against the elements with periodic cleaning and sealing.
